During the past years of the war in Sudan I had to see my family members flee the war and being forced out of their homes into a new country (Egypt) they have never been to, leaving not only their belongings behind, but leaving with the uncertainty of not knowing when or if they will ever be able to return. This disaster is not just the story of my family but the story of over 10 million people who were displaced by this terrible War.
Since I lived in Egypt for a couple of months I know and I saw so many people in need of our help and support. This fundraiser will not only support my family but hopefully reach as many sudanese households as possible in Egypt. And this time we are also expanding our donations for people in need that are still living in Sudan.
Most part of my family currently lives in Cairo, thus has many connections to sudanese families in need.
Since most of the sudanese refugees flee on top of cars, strapped and only secured with a rope, there are many of them arriving in egypt with dozens of injuries waiting to be treated.
The donations will mostly provide finacial support to help individuals to receive necessary medical care and to support their maintenance needs while also providing essential groceries such as flour, sugar, oil, rice, noodles and legumes.
Every drop creates a ripple, and every small act of kindness can make a world of
