During the past year of the war in Sudan I had to see my family members flee the war and being forced out of their homes into a new country (Egypt) they have never been to, leaving not only their belongings behind, but leaving with the uncertainty of not knowing when or if they will ever be able to return. This disaster is not just the story of my family but the story of over 10 million people who were displaced by this terrible War.
Since I lived in Egypt for a couple of months I know and I saw so many people in need of our help and support. This fundraiser will not only support my family but hopefully reach as many sudanese households as possible in Egypt.
My aunt currently lives in Cairo, thus knows many sudanese families in need. Were are visiting her at the end of June to receive the donations and give out the donations together.
Since most of the sudanese refugees flee on top of cars, strapped and only secured with a rope, there are many of them arriving in egypt with dozens of injuries waiting to be treated.
The donations will help individuals to receive necessary medical care and to provide temporary accoommodation. In Additionally, the funds will support their maintenance needs while also providing essential groceries such as flour, sugar, oil, rice, noodles and legumes.
Every drop creates a ripple, and every small act of kindness can make a world of
